I was news director of WNHC-AM in 1958. Worked with some top dj's nationally, Joel Sebastian (WINS, NYC later), Dan Ingram (WABC, NYC later also). Our GM was George Carroll. He asked me to join him as news director at WNBF TV-12, WNBF AM/FM, Binghamton, NY. Carroll was promoted to GM there. This was during Triangle days (Walter Annenberg). I did team up with George Carroll at the Triple Cities (Binghamton, Endicott, Johnson City)

Thanks John for many fun hours on this site. Question for the brain trust: In the Summer of 1970, was WKSS doing an automated pop format? The tune "Yellow River" by Christie was played incessantly on either WKSS or Triple-C but I can't really nail which station played it ALL the time. I seems to recall a more automated sound, which would have ruled CCC out. Any ideas, anyone?
