Thanks John for many fun hours on this site. Question for the brain trust: In the Summer of 1970, was WKSS doing an automated pop format? The tune "Yellow River" by Christie was played incessantly on either WKSS or Triple-C but I can't really nail which station played it ALL the time. I seems to recall a more automated sound, which would have ruled CCC out. Any ideas, anyone?

It's just incredible to see those old pictures of the transmitter site. I worked there. WLAE in the back room. In the front room, WHCN on reel to reel tapes. It was WHCN on the tapes, right? Paul DeSavino owned the place, yes? Oh, I'm going way back. There were two shifts....6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. to midnight. I remember spliting those shifts with Paul Resnick for a while. I also got stranded up there for a couple of days during a snowstorm. You had to be a young kid to work up there!
