WHCR operated from 1969 to 1972 from West Hartford. Originally starting out on both 1640 khz and 98.3 Mhz, with 100 milliwatts but by the early 70s they had settled on 88.9 MHz. The station played rock and jazz music and used a home-built 8-channel board, pictured below.
