Channel 38, WHCT-LP, came on the air in 2002 relaying Rev. Gene Scott's Faith Networks from California from an antenna on the WCCC-FM tower on Avon Mountain in West Hartford. They surprised everyone by reusing the WHCT call letters.
Several years later they switch network affiliation to TV Azteca.
